Every Back Knife is made with one goal: to be the tool you trust when conditions get rough, the trail gets long, and you need gear that won’t fail.

Decades of forestry work, hunting, and fishing across British Columbia taught me what a knife actually needs to survive field use. I build my knives the same way I use them — hard, honest, and with zero shortcuts.

My builds combine proven heat-treated steels with balanced geometry and tough handle materials

• 52100 & 80CrV2 — tough, high-carbon workhorses with excellent edge retention

• AEB-L & Nitro-V — clean stainless steels with exceptional sharpening and durability

• Magnacut & CPM-3V — top-tier modern steels for maximum toughness and corrosion resistance

Handles Built for Grip, Comfort & Longevity

I use synthetics when the job calls for ultimate stability — G10 and Micarta — but I always return to natural materials.

Wood, antler, and horn bring warmth, character, and feel to a working knife that synthetic materials simply can’t match.

Every handle is shaped by hand for comfort, control, and a confident grip in cold, wet, or gloved conditions.
